Creating SEO Optimized Content
Step 4. Create the content.
Research can be the fun and interesting part, the harder part is getting down to business and writing the actual content.
In general it is a good idea to write clean 250-300 word articles that focus specifically on your keyword subject. Such as “apple cider nutritional content”.
Content is the key factor for generating traffic, so make sure you do this right.
Ask yourself:
- If you were searching for this information, would it be useful to you?
- Is the layout good? A crappy layout makes people click away immediately than rather have to deal with struggling to find what they need (ie. Don’t organize your article in one big block!).
If your just starting out your site, it would be good to have about 5 or 10 well-written articles before you start publicizing your website and driving traffic.
Also, remember to add pictures (at least 1 per article) for stimulation. I don’t know the exact science behind it, but a website or article with no pictures just… sucks. It doesn’t capture the readers imagination, and the reader will be less inclined and less interested in reading it.
Video is an even better medium to add if possible. In today’s world of over-information and short attention spans, a video can greatly increase the amount of people who will hear your message. Since many will be too lazy to read it.
SEO Tip: Make sure you throw in your keyword a few times in each article, but don’t overdo it. Also whenever you mention a keyword which you also wrote about in your site, link to it. This type of internal linking is good for SEO.
